RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
Recognition of Prior Leaning (RPL) is a process created and sanctioned by the –
Federal Government’s Department of Education Science & Training (D.E.S.T.) under
which the Australian National Training Authority now operates. The national
accreditation acceptance framework is referred to as the AQTF – Australian
Quality Training Framework.
RPL is a process that allows persons holding previous experience in an industry,
business, or occupation to secure formal qualifications in their industry, based
on their experience. So if you have been an Investigator for many years
and wish to secure the required National formal qualifications, all you have to
do is APPLY FOR THE QUALIFICATION UNDER ‘RPL’. You can do this now through the
Institute. You will need of course to pay the Course RPL Assessment fee and
supply the required evidence of such experience.
The Institute through its licensed partner RTO Ed French & Associates is presently offering its Members the Certificate III in Investigative Services PRS30303 qualification via RPL.
Organisations must be licensed, accredited and certified by DEST in order to operate as educational delivery organisations under this Scheme, commonly known as RTO’s – Registered Training Organisations.
